Our services

YAOS started out with a desire to connect people prior to their surgery with someone already living with an ostomy. 

The pillar of our service is providing an opportunity to meet with someone already living with an ostomy. There is no "membership" required and there is no pressure to keep in contact! Feel free to contact us when questions arise on your path. 

This services extends to post surgery and beyond, and we are very happy to meet with you regardless of whether you have a new stoma, or have had one for many years.

So get in touch with us. We will link you to one of our volunteers who have a stoma. 

We can chat with you over email, phone or in person. Whatever suits you!

We are just regular people who want to help. So don't be shy. 

We work with other health professionals who are enthusiastic about helping Young Adults undergoing ostomy surgery.

You may have questions about sexual health, fertility, exercise or pregnancy to name a few.
