Hi, I'm Jaymee. I was diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2019, when I was 31 and I now have a permanent colostomy.
I enjoy spending time chasing our 3 year old, working as an ICU nurse, and spending way too much money on food.
I spend my spare time on our hobby farm and doing renovations.

I wanted to start up this community as I wasn't able to find a service that could link me in with others in a similar situation. I spent a lot of time searching social media and consulting Dr Google, and hoped for a better way.
I wished I could have spoken to someone before and after my surgery, and I wish to provide that service to others.
Hi, I'm Hayley. I have a permanent stoma (Ileostomy). I had my procedure done when I was 31 years old in 2018. It really is the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I am a stay at home mum to our two beautiful kids aged 6 and 4 and a loving husband. I love our little family adventures together. But also love me time in the morning when I get out for my morning walk.
I wished I had someone to talk to and ask 1000 questions to before, during and after my operation. There is nothing like getting the information from someone who has actually been through it themselves.
I really want to support those going through this stage in their life and answer all those questions.

I work at Barwon Prison and am a father of 3. I enjoy the great outdoors and spending time with my family. I was surprised at the lack of support for young people going through this process and was lucky to have found Jaymee.
I am now proud to be in a position to be able to give back in the form of supporting someone else going through similar circumstances.
